This is my first review of anything ever I just felt compelled to do one because of such poor service at Lowe's in Decatur Alabama. I had several items on my list that I knew I would need help lifting I went to the front desk as soon as I got there and ask for someone to help me lift and carry out a table. I was told once I get back in the back there would be someone working so I loaded it myself there to help me and there was not. , then when I went to the gardening center they man checking me out did not offer to help at all as I am lifting a 50 pound bag, as he stood and watched listening to his rap music on a radio plugged in next to him. I mean really does he think anyone going through the Lowe's gardening center wants to listen to that awful mess! Which is why I knew better than to go to Lowe's instead of Home Depot in the first place...
I'm a college student and very "unhandy" when it comes to home projects. Went into the store and had multiple, friendly encounters with the associates who helped me find what I needed for a very reasonable price. Had a very positive experience when being checked-out, too. Overall, I received great customer service and will definitely be back soon. :)
Bought a used item sold as new. It was broken. Bought a Schlage keyless deadbolt. Watching install video realized my bolt was in three pieces was supposed to be one piece. Drove back to the store they opened another one to see how to put it together and asked me if that would work. I say sure. Drive back home install the lock, it just gives an error code and doesn't work. Look at the user manual to trouble shoot and someone had handwritten in the word garage and the factory code. So they bought it broken returned it and lowes just resold to me and wasted alot of my time and gas.
I've had a heater purchased for 2 weeks now from the Cullman store to be transfered from the Decatur store. They have told the employees of the Cullman store on 3 different occasions that it has been shipped only to find out today it has not. Cullman employees are gonna drive up and get it tomorrow. 5 stars for Cullman a big zero for Decatur. Thank you Cullman store for great customer service. Decatur you could learn something if you would come watch the Cullman employees.
Lowe's has fallen with good customer service. I have built my whole house, garage, my daughter's house, all my side jobs, I have used Lowe's. I even support Jimmy Johnson whenever I go to Talladega NASCAR because of Lowe's. I've been in Lowe's this year for several purchases like plumbing supplies, two attic ladders, paints, landscaping supplies, ect. There's never anyone there to help. If you find a worker, it's like you are bothering them or they pawn you off on someone else that don't know anything about the department. I feel Lowe's should care more about customer service and have enough workers in each department to help customers.
